In Jesus' use of parables, this truth most commonly dealt with the kingdom of heaven. And it was this truth that only true followers, disciples, can understand. It was true then and it is still true today! Jesus is using parables to reach only His followers while the meaning of the parable would not be understood by outsiders. That leads us to today’s verses Luke 14:31-33
